    Promotion Sunday

We promote all of our children and students into their new classes on Sunday, August 5th. It's also a great time for adults to check out an on-campus group or a home small group.

    Preschoolers
Babies - pre-K will "move up" into their new classrooms on this morning. It's a great day to bring your little one to either one or both small group hours, 9:00 and 10:45 am. svbc.cc/preschool | brittany@svbc.cc

    Children
Kindergarten - 5th graders will "move up" into their new small groups at the 9:00 and 10:45 am hours. Children attend one small group hour and then one worship hour with their parents. svbc.cc/children | heather@svbc.cc

    Students
All incoming 6-12th graders are invited to join us at the 9:00 am hour to "kick off" the new school year. We want to get to know you better and introduce you to your new small group leaders. svbc.cc/students | garrett@svbc.cc

    On-Campus Groups
It's a great Sunday to check out an on-campus group if you are not already involved in one. Small groups are where relationships are developed, where you can interact, discuss, laugh and even cry together. There is a group that meets at 7:45 am or choose from many others that meet at 9:00 and 10:45 am. Visit svbc.cc/on-campus-groups or come by the Information Kiosk for more information. joe@svbc.cc

    Home Groups
You were not created to live life on your own. Home groups are another avenue for you to experience authentic relationships at Severns Valley. We currently have groups that meet throughout the week in homes all across the E-town area. Our Home groups meet to study God's Word, pray for one another, and live on mission in the community. Visit svbc.cc/home-groups for more information. bryan@svbc.cc

    ADULTS

CORE Classes: We are excited about how God has led us to offer CORE classes and can't wait to see what He does through them in the spring semester. We are offering Foundations of the Faith taught by Pastor Bill, and two new classes: Spiritual Disciplines led by Pastor Jeff Wilson and An Overview of the Old and New Testaments led by Pastor Joe Thomas.

    Foundations of the Faith
This course is designed to introduce you to the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith. We want to help you not only be introduced to these doctrines but also to understand how they will help you grow in godliness. Our desire is to equip you with the information, and then help prepare you to be able to share your faith, answer questions others may ask you and ultimately help you to confidently be able to share what you have learned with someone else to become a disciple of Christ.

    Spiritual Disciplines
Those who follow Christ are to be daily conformed into the image of our Savior. How does this transformation take place? What is my role in growing in Christlikeness? Do I have a responsibility to pursue Christ after He's saved me? And if so, what must I do? We believe there are practices that we can learn. They are called disciplines. Our desire is to: teach you these disciplines, for you to put them into practice, and then for you to share them with others.

An Overview of the Old and New Testaments
Want to know how you can have a better understanding of what you are reading in the Bible? What about the reason different books in the Bible read so differently than other books in the Bible? Do you know the different places that Jesus can be seen in the Old Testament? Do you know why this ancient book called the Bible is so important during modern times? Come and join us in the Bible survey class where answers to these questions will be discussed. We will take a very informative and exciting journey through the most influential book ever written, the Bible.
