Construction Update - 6.20.17
It may be hard to believe but a lot has been happening regarding the construction of our Worship Center, Parking Lot and The Lawn. You may have noticed the orange fencing up around the dam of the old pond. This is the second step beginning the groundwork on the new facility. The first step was draining the pond. We've waited a couple of weeks after draining the pond to let the soil dry a little.
At the end of this week we will see security fencing going up around where the new facility will be constructed. The fencing will totally eliminate the availability to park in the lot closest to the Choir Suite. We want to let you know so you can make plans for when you come to church this Sunday (June 25th). With the fencing up, the big machines will roll in and start moving dirt. Weather permitting, we should see some major changes in the landscape in the next 4-6 weeks.
The fencing is being placed to protect us from being hurt. Severns Valley members are not allowed on the construction site without prior approval. We ask everyone to observe this safety measure. We certainly don't want anyone getting hurt.
We want to keep you informed regarding the building process. To accomplish this we will be posting photos, videos and writing about what is happening on our website and also in the Trumpeter.
